The inside out library: collaboration, inspiration, transformation
#ASL2015 will take place on February 26th & 27th 2015 in the Gibson Hotel DublinLibrarians are stepping out from behind the issue desk, taking on new roles, forming new partnerships and applying their skills and knowledge to new situations. Join the A&SL Committee in 2015 as we consider the growing importance of collaboration for the profession and discover how collaboration both inspires and transforms.
We will be asking: What do librarians have to offer both inside and outside of the library? How do our skills transfer to new environments? What can we learn from professionals in other institutions and other sectors? What new opportunities are out there for librarians and where are the "library" jobs of the future?
We invite case studies about innovative projects involving collaboration or community outreach. What are the benefits of such projects? How do they work and what can we learn from them? We would also like to hear from librarians working in non-traditional roles and sectors.
